Growing our portfolio of products is something that we are proud of, and we’re pleased to show off some of our PREMECO™ range in an ever-changing industry.
In recent years, we’ve seen a significant shift towards sustainability. We touched on this when discussing changes in fruit label legislation in March earlier in the year. More and more, our customers are seeking eco-friendly alternatives and options. The labelling industry is already innovating and changing towards green, renewable and compostable materials at a rapid pace.
Labels and Labeling recently released a blog discussing the impact of carbon footprints in the labelling industry but also outlined four challenges for this. One of those challenges, which could be seen as the most important is “more work is needed to resolve end-user challenges”. That’s where Premier Coating & Converters step in.

What can we offer you?
We use substrates made from sustainable materials, contributing to reducing our footprint. Our PREMECO™ products are compostable, tree-friendly and act as a secondary raw material. We source these materials, that in turn assist with CO₂ savings.

Ok great – but what about the adhesive?
With effective coating with one of our many sustainable adhesives, performance is at a premium. Options include the BioTAK® XS102 and BioTAK® HC700 adhesives (depending on application requirements). We source this from sustainability partners Bio4life based in The Netherlands. One of their taglines is “Innovation meets sustainability” and they couldn’t be more correct. With Bio4life’s support, we create sustainable labels that stick to their principles!
It’s important that companies such as ours look to lead the way, we do this by responding to these demands in an effective and conscious way.
Global restraints will soon come into effect with fruit labelling (February 2028), but this is just the beginning, what more can coating and converting companies do to ensure the successful delivery of a sustainable future?
